MATCH 1
Lance Jeffers vs. Freddy Oliva
Lance Jeffers 5ä8" 156 32yo
Freddy Oliva 5ä7" 162 19yo
These two wrestlers are evenly matched in size and strength. NHB carefully set this match up so that both guys were ready to go at it. Lance (purple speedos) is a bit intimidated by the younger football player (captain of his HS team), Freddy (blue speedos). Lance starts the match with a tight head lock and keeps it on for a long time. He wanted to show the younger guy that he was ready for him. He tried many combination holds, but Freddy countered all of them and eventually reversed the headlock. Both wrestlers tried to vain to use their strong legs. They are both good counter wrestlers, so they anticipated each others holds. That makes for great wrestling.
Lance took the first match and Freddy was not very happy about losing. The second match goes a long time with lots of great moves, counters and locks. Lance worked real hard just not to get caught in Freddyäs powerful legs and Freddy did the same. Lanceäs skill was totally matched by Freddyäs strength. These two hairy, muscular wrestlers finished by shaking hands and being friends, but there was not doubt who the better wrestler was.
Undoubtedly, youäll see a lot more of these two wrestlers, hopefully against each other.
MATCH 2
Tony D'Angelo vs. Axel
Tony DäAngelo 5ä11" 178 32yo
Axel 6ä1" 163 22yo
Axel (silver speedos) is a trained, skilled, life- long wrestler. He wrestled (and was the captain of) his HS wrestling team and went on to wrestle in college and place in the NCAA national rankings. Tony (navy blue speedos) was warned by NHB before the match that he was in for a challenge. But Tony was up for it (as he always is).
Axel has speed, power and agility. He starts the match by lifting and body slamming the bigger Tony. The first match is a test of strength, each man trying to establish dominance, lots of muscle exchanges and power locks. Eventually, Axel gets Tony in a power leg and angle lock and forces the submission.
The second match starts with a much more determined Tony. A quick, strong headlock has the "kid" against the wall. On the takedown, Axel uses his speed to reverse the hold. He tries the leglock again, twice, but Tony is not about to give up this time. After 12 minutes, Tony reverses the leglock and gets Axel in a totally awesome headlock, cross face and choke. Axel is squeezed until he almost passes out. But he recovers real quick and match 3 begins.
Head lock, body and head scissors, arm bars and control is the game plan of both wrestlers. Great finishing match with a totally surprising finish. Both these wrestlers are not done with each other. Look for their rematch.
MATCH 3
Lance Jeffers vs Patrick Donovan
Lance Jeffers 5ä8" 156 32yo
Patrick Donovan 6ä1ä 164 29yo
Lance (black speedos) came to NYC once again with two particular challenges, one against Patrick (blue speedos). Both these men are accomplished wrestlers. Some of the other NHB Wrestlers came just to watch these two guys go at each other. Patrick was as confident and cocky as ever. Lance, being just an all around nice guy, just wanted a piece of Patrick to take back to South Carolina.
Lance works real hard on controlling Patrickäs upper body in the first match. He does a pretty good job, but Patrick relies on his long, strong legs to get the upper hand. Lance starts the vicious body shots and Patrick returns the favor. Lots of great moves, upper body strength and control. Lance keeps Patrick on his back for most of the first fall, and Patrick has trouble countering the powerful Lance.
Patrick catches Lance in an incredibly strong body scissors at the beginning of the second fall that has Lance wreathing and contorted. He sticks it out, but that hold definitely takes its toll on Lance. He resorts to a lot more body shots, real hard, to try to wear down Patrick. Great wrestling and great ab, torso, and kidney shots.
Patrick told NHB that he was more sore the day after this match than heäs been in many years of wrestling. If you like the well trained, hairy vs. smooth, pretty boy ù villain match, this is it. NHB will tape these two men wrestling anytime. Enjoy this one !
MATCH 4
Roman Billups vs Bert Alvarez
Roman Billups 5ä6" 148 27yo
Bert Alvarez 5ä3" 144 28yo
Bert (blue speedos) asked NHB for a match with Roman (black and red speedos) as soon as he saw Roman in Wanna Wrestle 10. Bert wanted to give the "muscle-dude" a wrestling lesson. Well, Roman sure did get a wrestling lesson, but it wasnät quite the way Bert expected it to be.
Both of these guys are in great shape. Roman is very strong, cut, and a body builder. Bert is an expert wrestler, knows all the moves and holds, and wrestles often with the Spartans in Philadelphia. Even with all his ability and skill, Bert was not able to contain the powerful Roman. Bert tried, body scissors, bear hugs, full nelsons, head scissors, and many other skill moves and holds, but Roman continued to prove that he could just power out of what ever Bert put him in.
The surprise to Bert was that Roman was able to put him into many painful moves and just hold him there. Bert doesnät like to lose at all, so he continued to hold out, but it was a real tough match for him. A couple of times, NHB thought that Bert was on the verge of submission, but he somehow managed to get out of the hold and reverse it on Roman. A few times Bert had Roman so tied up that NHB thought he would never get out, but NHB was wrong here too.
This is a great wrestling spectacle to watch ù two real gladiators battling till one just canät continue.
