MATCH 1
Ryan Logan Vs. Diesel Marino
Ryan Logan 5'9î 197 26yo
Diesel Marino 5'11î 222 24yo
These two massive bodybuilders have been wanting to wrestle each other for NHB for over a year. Diesel (Blue speedos) is a former High School wrestler. Ryan (Red speedos) has much less experience, but is one powerful dude who is very tough and aggressive. Both of these guys came to NYC from Orlando where they live and work. We couldn't wait to get them on the mats.
Diesel starts out real tough. He is determined to use his superior size and experience to completely overpower and dominate Ryan. The first fall is short, tough, aggressive and impressive. Diesel gets a reverse head lock on the mat and the submission. Ryan takes a long break and comes back a much more determined man. The next two falls are like nothing we have seen before in NHB BATTLE wrestling. These huge bodybuilders work as hard as they can to defeat each other. You can see the experience of Diesel throughout the match with head scissors, and head locks, but Ryan is learning every minute. At one point, Ryan get Diesel in a head scissors that lasts for about a minute and Diesel is squirming to get free. His sheer will and determination is the only thing keeping him from taping. Diesel is bent on not losing to the older, smaller guy. Besides, they are good friends, and Diesel wants to go home the winner.
The incredible size of these two men is awesome. We wonder how they can take the holds they have one each other since they are so strong. What a great sight, these two magnificently huge bodies tearing away at each other. You've got to see this one.
MATCH 2
Kerry Bond vs. Bobby Baker
Kerry Bond 5í7î 159 19yo
Bobby Baker 5í11î 166 19yo
These guys are not friends. They attended the same High School and were both very competitive. Kerry (Purple speedos) is a real submission wrestler. Very strong, powerful legs are his winning tool. Bobby (green speedos) was a varsity HS wrestler. He is tough, a real brawler and loves to win. This is a vicious brawl between these two muscled teen, competitive wrestlers.
First match, Kerry goes right for the choke and locks it on Bobbyís neck real tight. The struggle is intense as Bobby does everything he possibly can not to tap. But Kerry is just too strong. At one point Bobby picks the taller wrestler right off the ground by cranking on his neck and almost strangling him. Back on the mat, Bobby is forced to tap.
The Second match is incredible. No way is Bobby getting caught in that choke again. Kerry goes for a front face lock and body scissors. Bobby is struggling again trying to escape. Kerry puts the pressure on. At one point he slams Bobby to the mat real hard on his back. NHB thought Bobby might not get up, but he jumped to his feet and went right back after Kerry.
Super wrestling that ends in a draw between these two awesome wrestlers. Kerry is squeezed into submission and these two guys promise a rematch to a finish. We sure hope that happens.
MATCH 3
Allen Travers vs. Patrick Donavan
Allen Travers 5í11î 185 19yo
Patrick Donovan 6í1î 172 32yo
One of NHB BATTLEíS best customers introduced Allen (blue speedos) to NHB. Patrick (gold speedos) is his first challenge. Allen was only on the mat about 2 minutes when we realized how much this guy likes to wrestle. Although untrained, he is as strong as anyone his size. He is a college baseball player, in great shape, working out daily. He loves a real tough, challenge wrestling match. He wasnít too sure what to do against Patrick, but he sure knew how to keep Patrick from getting a submission hold on him. Even Patrickís patented cross-ankle leg lock (we still canít believe he beat Bobby Bigelow in REC ROOM BATTLES 19) had no effect on this ìstrong boyî.
Allen was able to power out of virtually every hold Patrick got him into. Patrick is no slouch ñ strong, tough, a real brawler. He knows just about every move and hold there is in submission wrestling. But Allen was just too strong. His powerful body scissors had Patrick squirming to get free. When Allen got behind Patrick on the mat, he stayed there. Patrick was frustrated that he could not reverse Allen. The one time that Patrick got on top and began his calculated attack, Allen just got fast, tough and cruel. He instantly reversed Patrick and threw him to the mat.
You can expect to see a lot more of Allen Travers. We are training him to be good enough for the Max Andersonís, Cole Brooksí, and Bass Berlinís of NHB BATTLE WRESTLING.
Match 4
Max Anderson Vs Cody James
Max Anderson 5í11î 182 20yo
Cody James 5í11î 181 20yo
THE REMATCH! Cody (green speedos) is ready ! Max (blue speedos) is more ready! Max is quickly becoming the NHB WRESTLER to beat, and Cody knows it. When he first came to NHB, Cody had many of the NHB wrestlers lining up to wrestle him. Now Max has that distinction ñ and Cody doesnít like it. This re-match has been on the minds of these two wrestlers since the first match. Both have been working out with some of their friends , trying out new moves and holds. Cody is relying more and more on his power. He works out with his 275lb. Bodybuilder brother. Max has developed much more skill, working on moves and holds with smaller opponents.
These two guys toss each other around the mat, great exchanges of moves and holds, head locks, body scissors, arm bars (at least attempted), full nelsons, failed sleeper holds, on the mat bear hugs, vicious head scissors, and loads others. This is a real brawl. They stay on the mat for the entire match until there is a winner- and there is definitely a winner. Control changes back and forth, but there is a definite submission winner in this one. Frustration and anger overwhelm the loser ( and it is obvious) and the winner actually claps for himself after one of the submissions. There is no holding back these two, in-shape, powerful wrestlers.
This is one NHB match you can watch over and over again.
