MATCH 1

Asante vs Patrick Donovan

Asante 6'1" 182 26yo
Patrick Donovan 6'1" 166 28yo

Patrick (purple speedos) asked NHB to set up a match for him with Asante (red speedos). Although bigger and stronger, Asante does not have the skill or experience that Patrick does. But this turned out to be one great wrestling encounter, each wrestler challenging the skill, stamina and power of the other.

After four submissions, the score was two-to-two and the fifth match was to be the deciding brawl, and indeed it was. The first four matches really tested the two men in skill and muscle. Lots of power holds, squeezes, and punishing moves. Each wrestler wanted to see just how much the other guy could take. In the first match, Asante tried a power grapevine which Patrick wrestled out of (surprisingly). But in the third match, Asante put the same grapevine on Patrick, and this time the pain and stretch of the groin was too much for him and he submitted. Patrick tried an arm bar which Asante was just able to power out of, then laugh. Patrick was not too happy about that.

The fifth match is quite decisive ù no doubt who won this one. These guys are serious wrestlers who will take on all challengers. Both are talking about the moves and holds they've learned from each other and want to try on other, unsuspecting opponents. Each is talking about joining one of the NYC wrestling clubs for more action.

Match 2

Bryce Jacobs vs Jason Cross

Bryce Jacobs 6'2" 151 20yo
Jason Cross 6' 153 22yo

Here is the tall, lanky, wiry match that many of you have asked for. Both these young wrestlers are wrestling for NHB for the first time, but neither are new to wrestling. Bryce (navy blue with orange and yellow striped speedos), has been asking NHB for a match for about 6 months. Finally we met Jason (blue speedos). It looked like the perfect match up, and we were right. These two guys, not trained in wrestling but both being battered around by older brothers were psyched to take each other on.

At first they were like two young kids, afraid to hurt each other and just throwing each other around with no decisive holds or moves. We stopped the match and showed both these guys how to win. So they watched two other NHB wrestlers for about 5 minutes then went at each other again. They both got more aggressive, tough, and neither would give up. The holds are long and brutal. They both use their long arms and legs to gain and maintain control. There are two submissions in this match, both take about 4 minutes of punishment before the "I GIVE".

Jason is already checking out the other NHB wrestlers to see who he wants to take on next. Bryce wants a major rematch with Jason. We'll see ! !

Match 3

Sean McSwiggin vs Chance Matthews

Sean McSwiggin 5'10" 161 27yo
Chance Matthews 5'8" 157 32yo

Chance (silver speedos) challenged Sean (black speedos) after seeing him on Wanna Wrestle 10. Chance is a "gym-addict" and has been since he was in High School. When he first met NHB, he challenged a HS wrestling coach, 40 pounds heavier, to a submission match, and a great match it was. Chance is a tough, rough, strong, and an aggressive competitor.

Sean was not happy with his loss to Patrick Donovan and was determined to look a whole lot better in this match, his second for NHB. When he loses the first match, you can easily tell he is super pissed at himself ù just listen to him. These guys wrestle six matches with six very obvious submissions ù three each. When Sean loses the fifth match, he immediately challenges Chance to another which he is totally determined to win.

You can see Sean's power in all the holds he gets Chance into. Chance, even though he is very muscular, is being squeezed and punished. You can see it on his face. Chance throws Sean around many times by just using shear power. When he flexes, he gains control. When he puts the pressure on, Sean submits. It's an awesome match.

Just seeing these two power houses fight it out shows the real competition of man-to-man combat. There is nothing boyish or fun about this match. This is real and both these guys want to win. Judge for yourself.
