MATCH 1
Sean McSwiggin vs Erwan Camas
Sean McSwiggin 5'10" 161 27yo
Erwan Camas 5'9" 165 35yo
Erwan (red speedos) is a wrestler from France visiting New York City and asked for a match with Sean (blue speedos). Sean was quick to agree to the match. He's been working out a lot at NYAC and even has a personal trainer who was a college wrestler ù so he's trying to improve his skills. Erwan has a lot of wrestling experience, mostly in Europe and Western Asia ù he even participated one year in the "Turkish Leather Wrestling". Powerful and skilled, Erwan came to NHB ready to beat some US wrestlers
Sean wanted to get multiple submissions from Erwan, just to prove to the NHB fans that he is a formidable wrestler. But Erwan wasn't about to leave NYC a loser. You can see the anger of Sean after Erwan earns the first fall. But Sean comes back with a vicious head scissors and just won't let Erwan slide out. The match gets more intense and tough in the third fall. Head locks for control, body scissors that squeeze the air out of the lungs, and many tight locks just won't make either of them give up. Finally, there is a winner, but, after this match, it's hard to call the other guy a loser.
Match 2
Roger Bennett vs Axel
Roger Bennett 6'4" 204 31yo
Axel 6'1' 163 22yo
Axel (red speedos) asked NHB to wrestle a big guy after his match with Tony D'Angelo on Rec Room Battles 14. Roger Bennett has been away from NHB wrestling for over a year. But he has been working out, putting on muscle, and learning a lot more submission wrestling. Roger and Tony are friends, so the talk was all about how Roger should go about beating Axel. Roger heard all about the great skills and super speed of Axel, and he was especially cautious about Axel's take downs, which are almost defenseless against.
But the cocky Axel was up against a guy 3 inches taller and 40 pounds heavier. It's not the kind of set up NHB usually has, but Axel was totally confident ( and maybe Axel needed a small lesson) ù that is exactly what he got. He used speed, power, and skill without much effect on Roger. Roger used a full body scissors and head lock (mostly choke hold), to get the first submission from Axel. A full nelson, with Axel on his back with no where to go, got the second submission from Axel. Axel was pissed, and surprisingly, Roger started to back off. Axel becomes a lot more aggressive and determined.
The rest of the match is a real all-out brawl. Axel was totally the aggressor while Roger did all he could not to get caught in submission. The more Roger used his height to escape and hold Axel at bay, the more angry Axel got. Great wrestling from both these in shape wrestlers.
Match 3
Axel vs Trevor Jones
Axel 6'1" 163 22yo
Trevor Jones 5'10" 165 25yo
Trevor (red speedos) is a HS wrestling coach from Indiana. He wrestled in HS and College and was nationally ranked in the NCAA standings. Axel (green speedos), being the same size with very similar background, promised to be a totally awesome match for Trevor. The level of skill, ability, strength and stamina in this match has not been matched in any other NHB wrestling match. This a 25 min brawl of wills, determination, and stubbornness that ends with the two wrestlers shaking hands and vowing for a rematch.
Trevor has a powerful head lock that Axel finds un-amusing very early in the match. Axel used to brag that no wrestler would ever be able to "flip me to the mat". He won't brag to NHB about that any more. A super quick head and arm lock by Trevor has Axel flat on his back in the first couple of minutes of the match. No one is more shocked than Axel and he really has to struggle to get out of that one and back on his feet.
But Axel's powerful leg scissors has Trevor reeling, when they are finally locked on tight. Trevor keeps himself from going to the mat ( he stays on his knees ù that is what saves him) and struggles until he has Axel backed into the wall and Axel releases the hold.
This is an NHB match that you will watch over and over again. You can be sure that the rematch ù coming very soon ù will be much more awesome and definitely decisive.
