MATCH 1
Kendo Javitt vs. Torre Minnino
Kendo Javitt 6' 165 18yo
Torre Minnino 5'10" 180 19yo
Here's a real challenge for Kendo (blue speedos). Torre (black bike shorts) is a tough kid. He's a fighter, raised on the streets of Chicago. He's hot a skilled wrestler, but he's strong and beefy.
Kendo is used to wrestling trained wrestlers, shorter than him and he has great technique with his legs. Torre is solid, aggressive and competitive. You can see how strong he really is when he just tosses Kendo around the Chicago Rec Room, when he just uses his arms to pull apart Kendo's tight scissors holds, when he uses his arms only and has Kendo grimacing in pain.
Kendo begins to get frustrated because he can't keep a good hold on this strong kid. Kendo knows he has the experience and technique advantage, but when he finds he can't use it very well against Torre, he gets frustrated. Torre doesn't know what to do to gain a submission. He tries everything he can, but Kendo squirms out and reverses. There is a real challenge here.
These two guys roll, struggle, strain and get pumped for over 25 minutes. They try some body shots, chokes, armbars, scissors, and just pure power to defeat each other. It's a really great match to watch and learn from. Lots of missed opportunities and frustration, but they continue until there is a definite winner.
MATCH 2
Tritan Baldwin vs. Brandon Aldrich
Trintan Baldwin 6'5" 187 18yo
Brandon Aldrich 6' 182 25yo
Brandon (green speedos) is challenged by Trinton (blue speedos), a tough, 6'5" 18 year old from Baltimore. Trinton has a lot of submission wrestling experience and has been getting psyched for this match for months. Trinton assured NHB that ìBrandon won't be me, not even one time".
The first match, Trinton is right. He works hard and finally catches Brandon and gets the tap out. But that is all for Trinton. Brandon realizes he screwed up in the first match and he is not about to let that happen again. Brandon really shows his stuff. He not only beats Trinton in each from for the next twenty minutes, but he works him over pretty good in the process.
If NHB ever had a ìsquash job" this is it. Brandon is real tough and looks as good as he ever has in any NHB match. He totally controls and defeats Trinton in some of the best wrestling that we have ever seen from Brandon Aldrich.
Watch for Brandon to take on bigger, stronger and better wrestlers in the future. He has proved that he can handle it. Maybe he can finally beat J. Barr.
MATCH 3
Ty Mitchell vs. Tino Bravado
Ty Mitchell 5'11" 150 18yo
Tino Bravado 5'8" 145 19yo
Ty Mitchell (black speedos) saw Tino (purple speedos) on BATTLING BODIES 3 and e-mailed NHB immediately for a match . Ty said he never really wrestled submission before and was not on his school team, but he really liked to wrestle and he thought he was a pretty tough kid. So Ty came to meet NHB in Chicago and we were pretty impressed, although we thought he was ìbiting off more than he could chew" in challenging Tino.
Tino, as you can tell, is built, tough, aggressive and very strong, even though he has no formal wrestling training. We told Ty that he might not be able to give Tino a good match, but Ty assured us that he would do his best. So we gave him the shot.
Tino begins by using his power and taking Ty to the mat and appears to overpower him. An awesome body scissors has Ty squirming to get out of the tight strong Tino legs. He does and he tries reversing the hold, only to get tossed the mat again by Tino.
Ty sure turns out to be a worthy opponent. The more Tino gets him tied up, the more he squirms and powers out. At one point, Ty reverses the hold and gets Tino in a front chancery that has Tino almost helpless. Tino is surprised as is everyone who came to watch this match. Not only does Ty hold the ëtough guy" down for a long time, he makes Tino expend a lot of energy getting out of the hold. Ty then continues to break Tino down, working on his head and neck. This match turns out to be a real brawl.
It goes for 30 minutes before there is a submission, just one submission in this match. Look for these two guys in a rematch ñ it is already planned.
