Match 1

Marc Matthews Vs. Alex Reid

Marc Matthews 5’9” 154 39yo
Alex Reid 6’ 186 18yo

Marc (blue speedos) came from California and asked NHB to get him a good challenge. “I’m heavier and I’ve been working out – get me some real competition”, he told NHB. Alex (pink speedos) was up to the challenge. He wanted to wrestle some really experienced submission wrestlers. The match was made.

Marc comes out tough, brings Alex down and starts working over the teen. Thirty pounds means nothing to a skillful wrestler, but twenty years could take its toll. But not for Marc. He pounds Alex into three submissions before Alex decides that is enough. Watch the “sit on the back – chin pull” one of Marc’s favorite holds. Alex taps. Cool!

But Alex isn’t going to let the skill get him. He comes back hard and rough and winds up getting three submissions under his belt. This match ends in a draw, at least by count. You judge for yourself. These wrestlers are into it – they are real and they are out to win. Incredible! You’ll watch this one over and over again.

Match 2

Joel Kasper Vs. Ben Young

Joel Kasper 6’2” 153 21yo
Ben Young 5’9” 174 23yo

Muscular Ben (black speedos) is challenged by the real long and lanky tough guy Joel (blue/black speedos). Joel is new to submission wrestling but what a great athlete. He is an Olympic hopeful for South Africa in the high jump. Take a look at this kid’s legs – awesome. He is a real competition. He loves to win. He’s been an athlete all his life, competing in swimming, track, track and field and cross country.

Ben knows he ’s going to have tough match but he is not intimidated at all. He’s ready. He knows he has the skill and he plans on over powering the long lanky athlete. He tells NHB before the match that he is going to “show this Olympic boy how to wrestle”. Right away he brings Joel to the mat and puts on the squeeze. Over and over again he brings the tough guy down and works him over. Ben is really giving Joel a pounding. Joel works some tough moves and holds of his own, and he does get better as the match progresses but Ben is just incredible. He won’t tap out and he keeps pounding on the athlete. Joel doesn’t get discouraged at all, he keeps coming back more skilled and tougher with each match.

This is great- super bodies – tremendous athletes – giving each other a real challenge. Joel gets his butt whooped, but he just more determined to do better. He’s already setting up practice sessions in South Africa. This Kid is going to be someone to look out for.

Match 3

Max Anderson Vs. Chet Masters

Max Anderson 5’11” 192 22yo
Chet Masters 5’5” 153 18yo

Max (orange speedos) sat right at the NHB BATTLE studio and watched Chet (black/red speedos) take on, most impressively, the much bigger Alex Reid. Max couldn’t weight to get a shot at the “little tough guy”. Max is much bigger, more muscular, and has considerably more experience in submission wrestling. In no way was Chet even a little intimidated. He was more than ready to give the tough pretty boy an awesome wrestling experience. And that is exactly what he did.

You won’t believe what great wrestling this is. Chet goes all out and works with everything he’s got to get Max to tap. He tries to give his vicious head scissors on Max over and over again, but Max just won’t let it happen. Max shows some real wrestling skill himself, not by just keeping the “tough kid” off him but by using and holding many tight, tough holds of his own. Max works with everything he’s got and can’t believe what a hard time he has with this “tough little guy”. “That was the toughest wrestling I’ve ever done” said Max when sat down after the match was over.

These two guys went for twenty-five minutes continuously with only one submission, at the very end. It’s awesome – definitely Max most challenging match to date. You can bet,
