MATCH 1

Bert Alvarez vs Joey Parisi

Bert Alvarez 5'3" 139 28yo
Joey Parisi 5'6" 160 30yo

Joey (Black speedos) challenged Bert (Red Speedos) through NHB and actually set up this match himself. He's from Buffalo, NY, and traveled to NYC to wrestle Bert. Both these guys are experienced wrestlers, in good shape, and ready to win. Joey is much more of a PRO wrestler, but he very willing challenged Bert to a submission match.

Bert is extremely skilled, as you saw in Rec Room Battles 10, and he immediately started using that great wrestling skill on the less experienced Joey. Consequently, Joey resorted to many body shots, kidneys and gut, and even some biting, which really got Bert mad. The madder Bert got the tougher he wrestled until he too resorted to some real tough body shots. There is not faking in this match, and these guys are not friends. This turned out to be a "real" brawl.

Bert took the first match, which just got Joey more determined. Joey comes out for the second fall stronger, more rough, and sure he was going to win. Bert took a real beating as he used his skill to maintain control, but eventually Joey pounded him into submission.

The third fall is great. Neither guy would submit and they were both close. Both these wrestlers were real sore after the match, especially from all the body shots. Great holds; headlocks, awesome headscissors, cross faces, armbars, are used with a high degree of effectiveness. NHB has the feeling that Joey is going to challenge Bert for a rematch. We'll see

Match 2

David Dakota vs Damian Grey

David Dakota 5'8" 198 31yo
Damian Grey 6' 186 21yo

The 21year old Damian (royal speedos) challenged David (black speedos) to a match after seeing David in Rec Room Battles 12 (ironically, Damien's premier tape). Just back from a few months at home in New Zealand, Damian was ready. But so was David. Bigger, stronger and tougher, David has been bulking up, as you can see in this match.

Damian just can't handle the bigger, more experienced David. Even his incredibly strong legs didn't help him out. He got tied up, squeezed, pushed, slammed and almost completely over powered. He put up a good fight, especially trying to use those incredible legs of his, but Damien just got more and more frustrated as the match went on.

A shoulder injury (nothing serious) eventually stopped this match. Damien immediately asked NHB for more instruction in moves and holds. "I want to be able to take on the bigger guys" was his comment. NHB thinks he will be doing just that, real soon.

David will be back for many more NHB matches. He has been getting a lot of challenges from around the country as a result of his NHB debut. You'll see a lot more of David Dakota.

Match 3

Justin Roberts vs Brandon Aldrich

Justin Roberts 6'1" 165 19yo
Brandon Aldrich 6' 165 21yo

Brandon (blue speedos), saw Justin (green speedos) in Wanna Wrestle 7 and immediately told NHB he wanted a match. Brandon thought he could handle Justin, but he knew it was not going to be easy. Justin has real long, lanky legs that are far from weak. If he gets you in a tight scissors he just doesn't quit until you give. NHB was not sure that Brandon was up for that quality competition.

NHB was very wrong. This is one of those truly awesome matches ù one of the best NHB has ever taped. Brandon and Justin are very evenly matched in just about every area. Over 40 minutes of absolute submission wrestling. They both know the counters as well as the holds. They both have great stamina. They both use numerous front face locks, each is countered and reversed. They keep away from each others legs as much as possible. Both these wrestlers find themselves making up new moves and holds because they are skilled at counters and they are both so evenly matched.

Three time they slide off the mat and just get up and continue. It's great wrestling. You don't want to miss this super match. Lots of long held holds: face locks, scissors, nelsons, cradles, its all here. Forty minutes of total wrestling with only one submission. This match is no where near over. Both these wrestlers are working out, practicing, working on younger, smaller opponents trying to learn that one move or hold that the other won't be able to get out of. Both these wrestlers have been getting a lot of training from NHB and other NHB wrestlers.

Their next match promises to be awesome. This one is super.
